Tour Description

Arrival – Seymour Airport (Baltra)

• Pick up at the airport by an authorized guide.
• Bus transfer from the airport to the Itabaca canal (10 minutes).
• Cruce en ferry a la isla Santa Cruz (5 minutos).
• Beginning of the land journey to the upper part of the island.

Stop 1: The Twins

• Estimated time: 30-40 minutes.
• Two impressive craters formed by volcanic collapses.
• Walk along trails surrounded by endemic vegetation: Scalesia, mosses and ferns.
• Birdwatching such as the tree finch and the witch bird (flycatcher).

Stop 2: Reserva Parte Alta 

• Estimated time: 1.5 hours.
• Walk among giant tortoises in their natural habitat.
• Possibility of observing them in lagoons, grasslands and trails.
• Includes a visit to the lava tunnels, natural formations where you will walk inside ancient underground lava flows.
• Option to have lunch at the ranch (typical lunch with local ingredients, not always included).

• Duration: 30-40 minutes by vehicle from the highlands to the coast.
